  1. Bind over is a term used in law, it is a UK 
  2. court order that requires a person to carry 
  3. out some act, usually by an order given in a
  4. magistrates' court. A person may be bound 
  5. over to appear in court at a particular time
  6. if bail has been granted or, most commonly, 
  7. be bound over not to commit some offence.
